The following are resources which I personally reccommend.  Unless otherwise noted, they are affiliate links, but I will never promote something which I wouldn’t stand behind 100%.

1.) Vicki Robin & Joe Dominguez- Your Money or Your Life: In my mind, this should be the personal finance bible. Robin and Dominguez outline a step-by-step program that will make you more conscious with your money. The steps are simple, but the effects are profound; other finance books I’ve read have more X’s and O’s, but this one is by far the best I’ve read for actually developing a healhier financial mindset.

2.)  Paul Hawken- The Ecology of Commerce:  Hawken illustrates the incredibly destructive nature of our current economic system, and proposes sweeping changes that would create a more rewarding, sustainable world for all.

3.)  Paul Hawken- Blessed Unrest: Hawken’s latest gem. Discusses the seemingly independent (but actually very related) movements for social and environmental justice, most likely the largest movement in the history of the world, and how millions of organizations and individuals are working to make the planet a better place.
